I went to the gym today for the first time in forever, like several years. I have been doing a spinning class for several months but need to do something with the rest of my body. I was set up on all of the equipment. I hope i can move my arms tomorrow.
I also find that as soon as I decide I am going to eat right I start craving all kinds of goodies. I also don't even have to tell my DH I am back on track. Somehow he secretly knows and starts bringing home goodies. He brought home candy and cookies the other day. Today he wanted me to order a pizza. I'm not sure I can resist pizza. He has a bad habit of opening the goodies and eating some and then setting them next to me.

Ok how about FQ theme for the next 3 months. January- brights. February- something Valentines theme(could be hearts, pink, red?) March-purple. If you plan on staying in for 3 months you can send in 3 months at a time it will save on postage.
Also when you send in your FQ make sure you put your screen name in the package. Sometimes it is hard to figure out who they are from.
Good luck to everyone.
Pat

Count me in. Meanmom, I know what you mean about the cravings.. we read about our body going into starvation mode when we don't eat enough or skip meals. Well, I say my mind is in starvation mode when it knows that I will be cutting down or eliminating things I like. And that has me justifying why I can or need to eat this one piece of candy, etc. There are two things I don't do enough of and that is MOVE and the other is SEW. SEW---I will try to do more of both.

Oops. sorry! Today is the 5th! ALREADY !! I'll try join in next month, but will be working on better eating and living now! Good luck to all!

Congrats, Pam!!! 11.8 pounds is awesome. I thought I did well at a 7 pound loss...but 11.8 WOW!!! Enjoy those black & white fabrics.

Another idea for fat quarters: oriental-Asian fabrics.

ok...so I had to look up what a spinning class is. Yep, I haven't set foot in a gym since it was fashionable to wear leg warmers!
Anyhow, I do like how it is low-impact.

Hope your arms won't be too sore. Ever try using a corn bag on sore muscles?

Hey there! Sign me up through March! I am almost ready to send in my 3 FQ. Possibly by tomorrow. Thanks for this opportunity! Even if I don't win I do plan to lose some weight! Have a great day everyone!

Watch your purples. I made a purple rug a couple of years ago and I discovered that a lot of purples have red in them. When you put them next to purple - they read red.

What a fantastic weight loss, Pam. Way to go! Makes my 5 pounds pretty pale in comparison, but I'll take it.

Anita, good wishes for a successful surgery. I've been dodging that bullet for 10 years. Have fun typing left handed so you can let us know how you're doing.

It's January. My yoga instructor teaches a hot yoga classes on Monday night - not for me, thank you, anyway. I went by the parking lot and it was packed. He told me today he didn't have room to put down his own mat.
