I have Emily, a beautiful red Artisan model and Margaret, her larger "Pro" sister. I make just about anything, but most often bread and cookies. I have the ice cream attachment, which works very well, some dies for pasta, a grinder...probably some other stuff. Love my kitchen aid mixers They are cousins to my growing family of sewing machines....

I've had mine for many years and it's still going strong! One of my favorite kitchen appliances I couldn't live without. I have the bread hook, grinder, and whisk. Use them all. After the bread machines came out, I got one of those and use it a lot so don't use the mixer as much for bread but still use it for all the other things that need mixing or whipping. I'm sure you'll love it!

I, we, got one 32 yrs ago as a wedding gift from my mom, and it still does what I ask it to do.
Someone told me, like sewing machines, they've kind of 'economized' the new ones, and sometimes the older ones are worth more than the new ones!
I have a few things in this house that are to go to certain people when I die, and the Kitchenaid mixer is to go to my daughter (My oldest son gets his great grandmas' grandfather clock, and my youngest son gets the child sized rolltop desk and glasses that his grandpa used - after that they're on their own dividing things!)
