I will be canning bread and butter pickles tomorrow. Oops, I remember I need to buy some more sugar!! Off I go.

You can bread? I have never heard of it. What kind of bread do you can? When all the kids were little ( 4step kids & 2 of my own) I canned everything I could get my hands on. About 500 quarts & pints a year, all kinds of jams & baked all of our bread from scratch. Looking back now I don't know how I had the energy to do all of it but I enjoyed it & I also was about 38 years younger! LOL My daughter & I did make jam last year though but that was it. We had a good time!

Not bread as in the yeast dough kind.... bread & butter pickles, they are 'name' of the type of sweet pickles..

No, I don't can bread. The pickles are called "Bread and Butter Pickles." But, I have seen recipes for breads canned in jars!
