LOL...what do they say? If you don't like the weather in Ohio, wait a few hours and it will change!

I was rather surprised to hear that as well. We have dodged a bullet time and time again this year. So we will see. I live north of Detroit, and they are saying 10 inches.

We had our storm this week, 6inches and 3days without electric. Thank heaven for my old 66 singer treadle. We sewed until dark 5:30pm or so. They are saying this one will be really bad, lots of ice anD lost electric. Hopefully they will be wrong once again.

Expected to hit here in Iowa also, can't seem to remember why I left southern CA about this time every year.

XDH and I went to KI Sawyer in early 1960=61, snow twice the height of the car, 15 below. We were even there before the air planes were delivered. Lived there for months before I discovered that our nice, flat back yard was not in fact flat but steep hill side covered flat with snow. I let my two babies play on that back porch not knowing they could have fallen in soft snow 6 feet deep. And I had to put them in a box on a wagon, covered them with warm quilts to go to the grocery store.
I like California. 20 or so miles from Marquette was enough for me.

I'd suggest that all of you who drive in this stuff take emergency supplies with you. IN THE BACK SEAT!! That's so if you slide off the road you can reach it easily. Sleeping bag, charged cell phone, giant chocolate bar, kitty litter for back tire traction. And any other things you can think of in that emergency pack. There's lists of stuff all over the Internet, so keep safe.

It looks like flurries tuesday night. Wednesday and thursday we're going to get dumped on. Ice and snow. Not sure yet how much except it's considered a storm. We just finished getting 16 inches this past wednesday night. And we have about 51 days until spring. Can't wait! Tired of the snow!
