I thought about echoing the tulip in my quilt block but i have already done that in another block. I have a stencil catalog that I sometimes use for ideas. I am going to look on Leah Day's website for an idea too.
Can't say I've ever been able to put it away once the bowl AND scooper are out!! Good for you.

Interesting. I recently bought an air popper at WalMart for about $25. It's easy and the popcorn is cheaper and tastes good.

We all love popcorn here. I have never been a big fan of microwave popcorn. We do eat it occasionally for convenience. I like air popped popcorn the best. Another rough day in the classroom. That is why the chocolate ice cream was out. Just a kid whose goal in life is to turn all of my hair gray. Just a pain in the ass, pushes everything to the limits. They are looking at an alternative placement for him next year. A girl in class is having anxiety attacks. 2nd grade. Mom is trying to get her in to a dr. She is pretty clingy right now. I feel so sorry for her. We are not sure what to do with her. We are planing on having a meeting about her. Not technically my kid to work with but I help when I can.

I finished the baby quilt! I figured out why I couldn't get my feathers to work out. I was stitching them in the wrong direction. They came out good. I love the quilt. Not sure if it will photograph or not. It is all white batiste, with a layer of mint green under it. I put prairie points around the outside. I will to to photograph it tomorrow. Bedtime now it is nearly midnight.

Good for you, Pat! I can't wait to see pics. I finished mine about midnight last night too. Even though I had the baby's name it didn't quilt it in. Too many I's and difficult letters. I will just write it on the label - if I ever find my marker. LOL What a mess I have in my sewing room!
Have a good eating day, everyone!

Another nasty sinus infection.........UGH this is so crazy. Went to the doctor this morning before work, got anitbotic shot and steroid shot. He also wants me to see and ENT and get a ct scan of my sinuses before I go to the ENT. That may be on Monday. I am so exhausted from not sleeping well........and even worse the weight that has been added due to the steroids. I am hating life right now with this crude.

So sorry Cindy. Hope it all gets better soon. You don't need this added to your other things going on. Sinus infections are miserable. I had some nose surgery several years ago for a deviated septum and a few other issues. I still get an occasional sinus infection but not as many as I used to. This crazy up and down weather doesn't help either. My ENT also recommends I get another nose surgery, more on the back of the throat end. I still haven't done that.
I leave for my quilt retreat in the morning. I am so ready. I cut out most of my professional tote last night. I also want to cut a one block wonder before I leave.
The student who has been making me crazy was suspended today. The principal said enough is enough. Yesterday while washing his hands he was throwing water up in the air. Later he got mad at me and acted like he was shooting me with a shotgun. He was awful today. He just looks right at me and does things. He also told another student he was going to punch him in the jaw until it was sideways. The principal chewed him out early this morning because he was being awful. He turned right around and started again. They are looking at an alternate placement for him. Not sure if it will happen this school year. I have enough data for it. He is listed as cognitive delayed. Not sure that is the correct diagnosis.
Spring break is next week too. And my DS is leaving the Navy and moving back to the states from Japan. He will be home Tues or Wed. Not sure where they will live yet. He needs to find a job.

Pat, how nice that your son will be back in the states. He's the one having a baby, right? I hope my kids move back someday.

Pat I know you must be excited to have your son back in the states. Have a great time at your quilting retreat.

I am feeling the weight already going up with this round of injections. UGH. A good thing this week at work we will be starting a weight watchers at work program, so I am going to join that. It will be helpful having them come to work instead of me finding time in my day to find a meeting. I am seeing that I need something more sturctured than what I have been doing.

The sun is shining, it's warmer, and I'm not being so negative with myself. I tend to tell myself I'm a failure if I don't do everything perfect on my eating plan or don't get all my water in. I weighed today and was down 1/4 of a lb. Not much, but it's definitely going in the right direction.
