Yeah it's big and square and solid. It was built in the 60s but all the woodwork in the roof is wooden pegged and it's got a cellar - it seems much older than it is. I went for it because of the high ceilings and big square rooms - a lot of French houses have small windows and low ceilings! They're all little short arses! LOL

Here's a couple of our bach... it's on the other side of the island to where we live, on a very rugged coast, about 2.5 hours drive.

This is the beach about 2 minutes drive from where we live. :-)

More view from the bach.

Yeah, but it's dark and poky and full of mice, so we don't keep the wine down there - anyway, never lasts long enough to KEEP!

I LOVE your beach - I really miss the beach - I was born in view of the sea (Blackpool) and brought up on the south coast of England - New Forest. This is the furthest inland I've lived - about 2 hrs drive from the coast and then it's all touristy and busy and horrible! When DH retires we're going to buy a boat and go and live ON a beach somewhere - maybe NZ if they'd let us in - you guys are STRICT about who you let in! Maybe you could smuggle us through a back door! LOL

I think it helps if you know someone here. Probably best you don't mention you know me, it won't help! ;-) ;-)

I'm off to bed now... cheers for the chat! :-)

Well done for adding photos of your places. I love the house in France, (though I have to admit to being lousy at languages, so I couldn't live there) and the beach only two mins. away? Brilliant, just my kind of place. What about more photos everyone?
