You know, Murphy's Law says if you didn't have all the beautiful Wisteria on that dead old tree, it would have stood there for the next 50 years. But because it had something worth standing for all over it, the dang thing fell over. :( Did y'all have a bad storm or did it fall on it's own?

We drove through Pennsylvania and New Jersey yesterday and saw wisteria all over the place. It was so beautiful!

Oh, you are all correct...the dead tree would have stood there forever if I hadn't put the Wisteria there. It helped to hold in the water and made the tree rot even faster. It was such an eyesore before I planted the Wisteria though. It was gorgeous though when in bloom and the smell...OH MY GOSH!!! Intoxicating!! I couldn't get rid of the roots there if I tried...so maybe I'll take an old clothesline metal post down there and dig a hole and let it climb that now....boy...I'll miss it being there so tall and gorgeous, but....it was pretty while it lasted! :D

Wisteria grow great on pine trees. Other trees seem to be chocked by wisteria, but pine tree love it.
If you still have roots you should have sprouts coming up real soon.

I love the smell and look of wisteria. I lost mine last year when the tree holding it up crashed as well.

I can't stop looking at the rider and the horse. So--what's the problem?

Oh Patti!!!!
You know how I love the wisteria, the storm took down my mama's too...I'm trying to persuade Marvin to plant some now that he is off work.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Hugs,
MJ

MJ...this was the big tree that I was telling you about. hate it that you didn't get here in time to see it standing and in bloom. If you need any to plant...I have plenty that you can sprig.

Come on by...anytime...
