Thanks for the directions to a fantastic idea. I belong to a small quilt group (7 total) and we exchange small gifts at Christmas and it becomes very difficult to find something different and useful for $10 or under. I think these will be perfect.

Those are great! They are quite easy looking, too! If you have a specific theme in mind and can't find pot holders and towels, you could use a plain colored towel and put themed fabric on the edge, then make a potholder with the fabric and then sew them up. Of course that would be much more work. I'm going to keep my eye peeled for matching towels and pot holders!

Love that idea of a pot holder. Have made these before, but not with a pot holder. Gotta go shopping. Thanks for info.

Fun and easy towels to make. Thanks for sharing. I have made them several ways--crochet the top and add towel, material with buttons or ties--I like your idea with the potholder. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing! A trip to the Dollar Tree store is now definitely in my future.

I've tried these before, too, with limited success. Can't wait to try your approach!

I’ve tried other ways of making them, but didn’t like the way they turned out. This is the easiest way and they look great.. 🙂. Thanks

I have one towel that I purchased at a craft fair some time ago and love it. I need more so I need to get going and look for potholders and towels. You are right it is hard to find nice towels to use for this. Kelela
