Oh! I LOVE seeing all the pictures of your "owners"! Is there anything more comforting than the unconditional love that comes from the furry members of our families? I'm attaching pictures of our "Lacey". She's a toy poodle that had been rescued from a puppy mill by the Humane Society. She had been starved, mistreated, and forced to have a puppy before she was really old enough and had lost it. My daughter and her family adopted her and then her asthma started acting up. They were devistatated thinking they may have to giver her up and began trying all types of meds for my daughter, getting their vents cleaned, and anything else they thought may help. We were just recovering from the loss of our beloved Husky, Max. We had had him in our lives for 16 years and the loss was so hard that we said we'd never go through hurt again.....no more pets! But, since Lacey had stayed with us before and was used to us, and our grandchildren were comfortable with her coming to visit Grandma & Grandpa, we said we would take her for a month while they worked a solution. Well.....5 years later , she is a permanent member of our family. She has helped heal the loss of Max and we can't imagine our lives without her. I like to think that Max helped to direct her to us to help us heal I know that eventually we will go through the same heartwrenching loss, but the unconditional love she gives us and we can give her now will make it worth it. Plus, our grandchildren are content knowing she is still in the family and they can see her any time they want to.

Gandolf is lying on his back as his stupid pet trick to be fed, lol!!! Wants us to witness how EMPTY is tummy is. He is part Maine Coon. He is new to us, since Oct, along with his companion Rory; they came to us after our beloved orange boy Hamish passed.Alias, thanks for sharing that website. Thats an awesome idea.

My DH wanted another LARGE cat, lol, and found these two boys who were fostered for the past year after their daddy died.
They came as a set. Gandolf is 7.5 years old, and the foster persons vet said 14.5 lbs, (although I think he likes it here and is gaining)
Rory is also part Maine Coon, and 2.5 years old, 11.5 lbs.
Miss Tatiana, the black one, was with us before, we got her as a pet for Hamish. She is about 8 years and about 10 lbs, although she has been sickly the past few years (two summers ago she was down to 5.5 lbs)
Here is my menagerie.

Here are my two four-legged big babies. The fawn boxer is Brutus and my white girl is Zoe. They are brother and sister from the same litter. They will be 7 years old in July. Brutus weighs almost 100 lbs and Zoe weighs 83 lbs. Very big for boxers.
I made the dog blanket to cover the couch. Scooter (the redbone) will wait on the floor and just stare at us if the cover is not in place the way she likes it.Originally Posted by Loretta
My babies! They are both 3 and a half years old. They are half brothers. Same Bichon daddy named Romeo. Chonzers mom is a little black schnazer. They are so much fun. Quigley is pure Bichon. My DH named him Chonzer so he wouldn't forget what his breed was. They call him a designer dog. They are just sweethearts to us!
Quigley, my little sweetheart.

You should sell that picture of your kitty to a Christmas Card company! Adorable!
WOW!!! I'm gone for a few days and look at all the wonderful pictures!
sdparent - cute dogs! Brode reminds me of Jock in The Lady and the Tramp. How close or far off are they about the barking?
Loretta, I'd love to see a picture of your bird!
Barnbum - what can I say about your minis? It is so peaceful to see their pictures. It seems that you've got your little piece of heaven out there. I love the flipped back ear on Shimano, and as the others have said, beautiful picture of Snickers.
redrummy - I'd love to give your dog a big hug, and does your cat get under the rug like that often?
Overlander - Is Oliver a Jack Russell or Parsons terrier? I've heard they are FULL of energy.
Eddie - Stella sure is pretty. Is she the quilt inspector?
SulaBug - I hope Abby doesn't help TOO much. . . You know the kind I'm talking about?
mosher92 - What kind of dog is Maxie? Who can blame her for assuming something is hers?
diannemc - that looks like a soft, fuzzy, come love on me face!
Oops, ran out of time. I'll back.
We have Jake...who will be 9 in April...we found him at a flea market in Kentucky when we were trucking. He weighs a bit over 6 pounds.
We also have Jake's son, Chip. Chip is 4 months old now, and between he and his sister Sadie, (Candela59, sis in law Peggy owns her) they're a couple of terrors! Of course, it's NOT my little angel's fault...it's all Sadie...she's a wild one!! ~winking at Peggy~

Nancy, Fiona is a beautiful blue pit bull.....love her name too. She may be mixed but somehow I doubt it. That color is rare or it used to be. We raised pit bulls and had pretty ones too.....ours are gone now and I won't get another because it hurt so much when we had to finally let our Moonshadow go. All the pets here are beautiful I'm just partial to pits I guess......LOL.
I've told you before about my puppies. King Gustav (Gus) is a miniature schnauzer who came home from Quebec with my daughter in 2001. He was black and grey as a puppy but lost a lot of the black as he grew up. He wanted to be an only dog, but we inflicted Finnigan a Sheltie on him 4 years ago. He still wants to be an only dog, but he's stuck with Finn!
Finn is everything Gus isn't... friendly, playful, active! But when Gus got sick before Christmas and we contemplated having him put down, I cried my eyes out. He may be a cantankerous old grump but he's MY cantankerous old grump!
This is Gus's spot everyday at 5 as he waits for my husband to come home!
This is Finnigan, 4 year old mahagony sable Sheltie
Mamagus--what gorgeous dogs you have. Does the Sheltie shed badly? We may add a dog in the summer. Shimano may vote to be an only dog too, but we think she needs another to play with.
I just love looking at the pictures of everyones fur babies! They are all so adorable and you can see personality in all of them :-)
Here are pictures of our current bostons. I have had many dos through the years and my dalmatian was probably the best dog ever but sadly passed right before we bought our house in 2003 from bone cancer :-( All my pictures of her are old style-not digital so I will see if I can get one scanned. She was a rescue and a phenomenal dog.
Our current three are bostons. We have a black brindle named Lexie. She just turned 8 and is a great dog. Rescued her from a breeder about 6 years ago.
Tigger is a 2 year old red boston also rescued from a breeder who decided she did not want to breed him anymore so she stopped feeding him and you can tell he was abused as he was very skittish and extremely malnourished. He has come a long way. He sticks to me like glue-my buddy :-)
Then there is Harmony. She is a champagne boston and is 5 months old. We got her back in October as a gift for our daughter as she can no longer pick up Lexie and do the things she would like to because Lexie is too big and getting old.
