You might also try to google "Ask.com". They come up with a lot of answers for me. Good luck! Marge L.

I know for a fact that nail polish remover will take sharpie off walls. On fabric I would test first to make sure it doesn't damage it.

2 Years ago...DD, now 4, attacked our light stained wood kitchen cabinets with black Sharpie.
Thankfully, regular isopropyl alcohol removed it all.

But timing is everything... IMMEDIATE attention will better your chances of removing it all!

Nail polish remover may work but test it on a spot first. Don't know if it will make colors run. I know it took it out of some white fabric I had.

The solvent is rubbing alcohol.

Use a Q-tip dipped in it for tiny spots. Apply full strength alcohol, or squish up the part of the cloth containing the unwanted marker lines, and dip it into a little bowl of it, swirl it around to loosen the dried ink, and watch to see
when as much as will dissolve, has gone into the alcohol.
Gently squeeze the wet part into a dry white cloth, or pat it with a dry white cloth. Repeat as many times as it takes using fresh alcohol, to get all of the permanent ink out.

If you want to wash it, wash it while the alcohol is still wet
because water and alcohol are mutual solvents, and the ink
is carried by the alcohol, into the wash water.

It is the alcohol in the hair spray that dissolves the ink.
