It is scary. But if someone wants to find you and find out information about you and you have been on the internet, pay bills on line, have any credit from credit cards, have a drivers license, etc.... your information is out there. Just sometimes it's easier to find than other times. We all need to be as careful as possible with what we actually put out there for the world to see.

I think the scary part is how much is in one place! At least if it is in different places, someone has to work to find it all. I have a common enough name that if you just google my name, there is a ton of matches. My DH is the same way, common name, lots of matches. I work in the court system and have some people who are really not happy with what I have to say, so I would rather they not have that easy of access to any of my info.

yeah looked up myself and a few other people and most of it was INACCURATE!! i wouldn't worry too much about it though-with internet these days you can pretty much find out something about someone. just the way it is any more.

I wouldn't worry about ANY website that has that stuff. Just do a Google search for a name with quotes "John Doe", and you'll find the same stuff, generally. I LOVE it! I'm doing genealogy research and have found my father's family back to the 1600's! And the reason I'm excited.......I didn't know ANYthing on my grandmother's side, other than her name!!!!!

Strange... I requested to be removed yesterday and I was checking it and now, even though I can search and it comes up with any name I search on, I cannot open any of them.
I agree that the scary part is that all you need is a name and bam... there it all is, including my also supposed to be unlisted phone number.
It's just way too easy to find out about someone. Yes, someone could find that all out if they wanted to spend a lot of time searching but all in one place is out of line.
Edited to say that it's working and when I search on my name it comes up with it in the left column (with the street address) but on the right it says "Could not load profile."
