Good morning everyone! Hope today is a good day for you.

I have 2 pairs of work out/toning shoes and boy di my legs feel it. I have to be careful how I walk and I agree they do kind of throw you off balance.

Well I made it through day three following a strict menu. I make a new one up everyday and hope by Friday I can do a week at a time. Right now I just go by food I can eat that's in the house. When I do a week at a time DH will shop for the food on my menu.

Went to water aerobics yesterday after not having gone in weeks and made it through the whole hour. I can tell I'm out of shape though because I was slower than others in the class who have been there the whole time. Then went to PT and they told me to take it easy on several of the exercises because they don't want me to undo all the progress that's been made on my shoulder.

Well it's flu shot day here so I'd better hustle because DH and I have the first appts of the day. Don't want to be late!

nanci - thanks for the info about men losing weight easier and faster than women. My DH has lost a significant amount of weight without even trying. We just don't have junk food in the house because I can't eat it. Occasionally he'l bring home a bag of chips but otherwise it's fruits, veggies and minimum amout of meat.

Well I have to run, got to get the shots!

thanks for the flu shot reminders -- They haven't started the clinics here yet. We are still waiting on the shingles shots because there isn't any vaccine available

I've had a good couple days -- finally started drinking enough water -- I've also been taking the cranbery pills again because of a mild yeast problem -- lots of water to cure both problems LOL

Here is a very interesting lecture "Sugar: the Bitter Truth." It's acutally a university professor discussing sugar and obesity. It's 90 minute lecture.

There are a few other videos that look interesting also.

Good morning, y'all. Something strange is going on. I am finally losing a few pounds. I have tried to decide what's different and the only thing I can think is that I ran out of cheese this week. Guess what I'm not buying when I go to the store - but I love cheese. I had yummy chicken last night. I sprinkled it with McCormick's TexMex chili mix, then fried it in the grill pan. It was hard to save half for tonight.

I skipped my TV exercise and shortened my walk yesterday. My nerve damaged toes and back are acting up. I think the toes are from the exercise. I need to remember to modify the exercises. You can't put your weight on your tiptoes if your feet are bolted together. Tuesday I did something else when she did those, but it was too late. The back causes the loss of use of my left leg. It happened twice last evening. That's not good when you are a distance from home and it's late at night. Do I carry the cell phone my children bought me for such things? Ahh, no.

Speaking of Xylie's challenge, where are she?

Okay, I hate to admit I don't know something, but how do I make a PFD file and link it? I have the article scanned into my computer and into a Word document, but what's next?

MJ, your view was lovely. There's nothing like spending time with God's lovely creations to expediate your healing. I have a picture of a sun rising over a mountain near a wooded river leftover from my wheelchair days. My then husband also took me to the beach to see sunsets often. My picture isn't anything special except to me, but I can't take it down which is too bad because it's in a perfect place for a quilted wall hanging.

Jeanne, congratulations on your hour of aqua aerboics. That's a long class. I think mine were 40 minutes. Now I'm allergic to chlorine and bromine both and that's what's used in pools around here. My daughter looked into oxygen for her hot tub so I could go in it, but apparently it doesn't work well in cold climates.

Wishing you all a healthy eating and moving day.

I am losing weight and getting healthier.

It's been nearly 2wks since I got serious about eating healthier.Have been eating more fruits/veggies & choosing higher fiber foods such as bread, cereal etc.
Yesterday & today,I noticed I wasn't really hungry between meals & seldom want a snack.
So happy this is working for me! The high fiber brfast, along with protein is making a difference! I'm surprised & just glad ! Hope everyone is having good results with their choices.

I have lost 2 1/2 pounds this week but not in a good way. I have had a 24 hour bug. Trying to work my way back into the right foods.

Cheese is the one thing that adds pounds to my body -- I always thought it was the fat calories -- but now I see it is the sodium

    Thamks for the list purplemem
