    Good for you, Pat. I went out tonight with friends and one of them is doing WW. She's having trouble losing but is glad she's not gaining. She has started a salad club at work. There are 4 of them in the group and they each bring a salad once a week to share. What a great way to try new salads and help motivate each other. I have never done a shop hop and don't know if I'd like it or not. The row by row seems so popular around here, is it where you all are?
    I'm planning on the gym tomorrow morning.

    Shop hops are a lot of fun. Each shop has snacks and a pattern for their version of the quilt. Some years they have special fabrics. I think there are 10 shops in the hop this year. One year they all made a star block out of the same fabric and you could get a block at each shop. I just end up with way too much fabric.
    They are doing the row by row at some of the shops here. I collected a couple of the license plates. One says "batik freak" I had to have that one. I only bought the kit from one shop. It is a storm at sea row. That is a pattern I have been wanting to try. It is also gorgeous colors. It will make a nice table runner. I just don't have time for another project.
    I made salted caramel chocolate shortbread bars yesterday to take to school on Monday. They are calling my name from the kitchen. I have never calculated the WW points in them. I am sure it is a lot as they are loaded with butter. It is a gorgeous day here 52 degrees. I have a friend coming to pick raspberries today. I only pick a few to eat. We have enough. Everyone enjoy your weekend.

    Congratulations Mateoh on your new grandson!!! I promise you...this grandma gig is the best thing EVER !!! We are blessed !!!!
    No idea on my weight change - IF ANY --- i can't bear to get on the scale til the 30th because if it hasn't moved i will get so discouraged. Don't know if it was turning 60 - or the lack of nicotine - but i have not been able to lose since the beginning of the year. Trying to be SO good this month to get it going.
    Good for you Pat - 4.4 pounds is nothing to sneeze at.
    I remember from 30+ years ago when i did WW back then - our "teacher" would put a Land o Lakes butter box and a Crisco can on the table - just to show you what one pound and three pounds of "fat" looked like. I thought it was a great visual.

    Pat- Belated Happy BD to you!!!!!!
    I cannot believe all that canning and produce!!!
    We don't have any down here in hot as hades Texas. I grew up in Chicago and I miss that. My father had a huge garden and I used to help my mother with canning. Also miss just sitting outside and feeling a breeze on my face!

    Not doing well. Not journaling.
    Someone kick me in the rump and get me started!!!!!

    kicking Pete in the (Y). That is certainly what it takes to get me going sometimes. At any project.
    Rob lost his fitbit 4 days ago. I think he has walked at least 50000 steps looking for it.
    I ordered him another one yesterday. Putting it on really sets our intention for healthy ways of living.

    Mother moved to the memory care center on the 9th. I've been so busy since, trying to catch up with some of the things I haven't had the energy to do. Today is the first time I've set down to my sewing machine in the quilt room since and immediately my shoulders hunched up and my teeth clenched out of habit, her voice carried so and she was so seldom happy. But I made myself relax and have made good progress on putting together the string blocks and wonky flying geese I've been making for the last year, something I didn't have to think about.

    Am eating carefully and drinking my water and walking, all 'its a good thing' things.

    I have had a rough week at work, food wise. It is school spirit week.That means food. I think I have pretty much stayed within my WW points so far. TOmorrow is football tailgate food day. Oh my that will be a problem. I love appetizers. I am out of my extra points. I will have to behave myself. I bought myself a fitbit with my birthday money. I have 12 steps so far. I just activated it. I am curious how many steps I do at school on a regular day. Do I need to sync it to my stride length?
    I have been drinking my water pretty well this week. I just need to get thru lunch tomorrow. I am going to the Jenny Doan trunk show on Saturday. I can't wait. I doubt that my weight is down this week but hopefully I maintained.

    when you register it you put in your height and weight and it calculates your stride and calories burnt on that info.
    Pick up a couple of extra batteries, they last 5 or 6 months. Fitbit sent me a note yesterday saying mine was low. Rob's got a little flashing battery icon when his got low.

    The first time I put mine on I ran up and down the driveway to see how the fitbit and the website worked. As I went tearing down the drive way my brand new first time meeting her neighbor was driving by and she screeched to a stop, thought I was having an emergency
    On the other hand I'm pretty pumped by the fact at 62 I Can run!

    Hi All, Regarding the Fitbit: Our hospital actually had a promotion allowing us to invest in Fitbit products with a great discount. Of course many of us took advantage of it. The only problem is that it seems to track better in my pants pocket instead of on my wrist. Although I knew that I was running around the unit , there were some days that I knew I had walked at least 10000 steps but my fitbit would disagree. One of my co-workers told me she tried putting hers in her pocket and immediately started doing much better on her steps. I tried it this week and sure enough I am tracking 13,000 steps at work. I know there is a way of setting up your stride if you don't think the Fitbit is tracking accurately, it does involve walking around a track and then reprogramming the Fitbit. The instructions for that are online. I found it easier to just put it in my pocket. Have a great week all.

    On another note, I leave for Minnesota to meet my grandbaby on October 1rst. I am so excited.
