Be careful what you add on to a magic eraser, you can create a chemical reaction that could be very dangerous to your health.

Have you tried WD40? It works on most anything.

When teaching, I removed permanent marker with nail polish remover, alcohol and hairspray. All three work usually without damaging the surface.

In my classroom, I found that spray Lysol takes permanent marker off of most any surface.

I have a small marker design on mat - done by a creative 2 yr old! Fortunately it is in a corner so Grandma is keeping it. LOL

Awesome (cleaner from Dollar General and occasionally Walmart) will take sharpie off plastic. Actually it cleans most anything off and i've used it on clothes as a spot remover also.
