Oh my! I don't feel so bad. Sewing related, I seem to collect 'old sewing things, not many of one thing; silk embroidery floss, pretty boxes, tiny to large; quilting books; old jars to put buttons and 'stuff' in; and of course, fabric. Non-sewing, Precious Moments, although that has slowed dramatically due to fabric purchasing; bells, teacups & saucers, both standard and the tiny minis; salt & peppers, some were my great-grandmothers; old glasswear dishes and cut glass, one from the early 1800's and I do use them; vases; anything kitty"; handkerchiefs; teapots; mini tea sets; cardinals, they remind me of my mom; old plates; little boxes; nativities and I try to get a little something when we travel to remind me of where we have been in one of the above categories. DH can't understand that I can tell him where I have gotten just about anything he can point out. I know I should dust more but they get done about once a year. I enjoy looking at them and remember when/where/why I got each of them. Precious memories each one. Next?

After standing in my sewing area I discovered that I also collect spools of thread. All colors and sizes, new and old. I don't use the old ones cause they are too brittle. I haven't counted how many I have but I ordered some more last night from red rock threads, I just got a package from them thurs. Tho you can't beat the clearance sale they are having.

After my fabric stash, my next biggest collection is my beads stash - from my jewelry making era. It's almost as easy to build a bead stash as a fabric stash, as I can buy gorgeous beads for a few bucks. Someday I plan to use the beads to embellish a quilt, when I make that 'just right' quilt for the beads.

I collect Nut Crackers, and have about 53 of them.
They range from 1 inch to one (George) that is almost
5 foot tall, and weighs a LOT. And books. Mystery, Science
Fiction, mainly by Anne McCaffrey, and anything that shows
pictures of lovely old Victorian Houses. I make Victorian doll
houses now and then, but give almost all of them away just
because of the space problem. Have to make room for my
stash and sewing table.

I collect moons, suns and stars. I have a huge library of books, fiction and nonfiction that I am slowly going through and passing on or donating when I am done reading them. The past few years I have learned that simplifying my life is better than owning a lot of things. Except fabric of course!
