I'm so jealous because it's still cool and cloudy here in Seattle. Some things are starting to bloom, but nothing as bright as yours in my yard.Oh well, our turn will come - or so they say! Hope it's warmer than last sprng and summer this year.

i raised them last year, with my 3 year old grandson. i had to plant milk weed in a pot, so they would lay thier eggs..we bought a plastic hamster container, and put the eggs in and watch them transform. it was sooo exciting, Jack put his little finger in there when they turned to butterflies, and got to release them!

This means that you definately do not live in Canada. Most of my snow is gone but we have dead grass, mud, frost in the ground and not a hint of flowers although I did find a few spring bulbs showing a little life. It's only very early spring here.
