It was crazy here. There were fireworks for HOURS. Are people really so broke? They seem to light their money on fire

I agree with everyone about pets fires etc. from fireworks I also cannot believe people are broke when they can blow up that much money as those things are expensive I still vote for a time limit on them and enforce it then we could be prepared for the alloted time but guess no such luck

Someone in our neighborhood was firing off a canon. It absolutely shook the house. The first couple of time they fired it, it scared the &*^% out of me.

For the first time in 35 years I spent the 4th with no fireworks anywhere ..... they had them in Altus but none anywhere out here in the country ..... Im glad everyone obeyed the law and didnt set them off .... we are so dry and its been hot here for so long .... the fires have been so very bad this year ...I think it has been over a month of temps over 100* ..... but it was also sad ........ no rockets red glare ........just sad ...........
3 towns in our area had fireworks

Our vet told me more animals are lost on 4 July than any other time. Mine don't seem to mind but they all live indoors.

My dearly departed dog was only ever bothered by fireworks and thunder if I was with him. If I left him alone outside or in the back entry, he was quiet and fine! Weird! My 3 yr old niece wasn't thrilled with them this year, but as long as she could get one of us to come in and get her ready for bed, she was fine.

I thought there was talk of banning fireworks in Texas this year.

Our dogs were nervous wrecks last night. Maisy went into the bathroom, no windows and hid by the toilet. When I kicked her out because I needed to use it she went in and stuck the front part of her body under our bed. She's to fat to get all under. Moose kept crawling up on me, Dolly tried to sit on my lap, she's an aussie/husky mix, and Splash glued herself to my husband. It didn't do any good to shut windows and turn up tvs.

I'm in the Austin area of Texas and we've had very little rain since last October. The burn ban is firmly in place, no fireworks of any kind allowed this year. My 4 dogs are very happy that there wasn't any boom-boom this year. :-D
