Haven't sewn any clothing for a while but I too enjoy all types of sewing. Don't particularly care about tailoring but the rest keeps my creative juices flowing. My two loves........sewing and cooking!

Me. I've beensewing since before I started first grade. Use to make all our clothes--even Sunday suits for the boys and my husband's boxer shorts from my sisters discarded gathered skirs. He had purple flowered, candy stripe --said he was ashamed to use behind a tree cause one of the other drivers might see his shorts. I just sew easy now, nothing complicated

I make round meditation cushions - also known as a zafu. And all sizes of tote bags - using mostly reclaimed or thrift store fabrics, in keeping with my "converting to green" effort. Sometimes, lavender sachets - again using reclaimed fabrics. Whatever the spirit moves me to make, I guess!

I used to make our 2 sons' shirts and daughter's and my clothes out of whatever fabric I had--sleeve one fabric, color another, etc. My neighbor used to tease me about my being an underpaid schoolteacher. Then it became the vogue and big profits for those who came up with the idea. Like always, I was before my time. I sew whatever hits my fancy, be it quilts, shirts, etc.

I started sewing on a treadle machine when I was 4 making clothes for my dolls. Made most of my clothes all through high school. Discovered quilting in late 1980s. When my kids got big enough to have more 'me' time, got more into quilting. It is a major part of my life now.
