in the past I did a lotof other type of sewing, now it's pretty much just quilting, an occasional hem but that's about it.

I've always sewn although the things that I make have changed throughout the years. I used to do a lot of garment sewing (made my mom's, sisters' and my clothes), alterations for a couple of stores and then graduated to Hallowe'em costumes and special outfits by the dozens. That's why I started to quilt - to use up all the scraps from all of my sewing. Of course it didn't work and I'm still quilting and doing alterations but few garments. I just finished a Hallowe'en costume ( a pumpkin) for my 18 month old great niece.

If it is fabric and can go under the needle, I've probably done it or at least attempted it. Spent years avoiding quilting because I knew it would be addicting. It is and now gets in the way of my 'regular' sewing.

I have sewn for years, mainly a few crafts here and there. Some mending, altering. Now, that I starting quilting a few years ago, I seem to do more of that. I got projects for both sewing and quilting when I find that time.

I sewed for many years before I started quilting, I still sew clothing or such occasionally, but do more quilting now.

Mom started me embroidering when I was just 5 yrs old. Then I moved on to doll clothes. Later I made my clothes, then for other people, weddings, costumes, window tx, quilts for about 20 yrs now. Who knows what is next. I even made a tux for my granson to be baptised in. That was cute. Oh and a zoot suit for my son when he was in high school, lined with inside pockets and everything. Teaching 4H sewing but next month is my last meeting. Just too much to do.

Me too. I make Halloween costumes for the grandkids, plus I made some relaxed roman shades, numerous pillows, recently a dress for granddaughter (very simple) and now one son wants big decorative pillows for the bed.
