Who does sewing other than quilting?

I made cloths for over 40 years before ever doing any amount of quilting. I still make cloths for my daughters, one is 6 feet tall the other is a size 8 with a 34FF bust. Both have trouble finding cloths to fit. I also make pajamas at Christmas for all my kids and grandson. A tradition I started when they were little. They opened Christmas Eve. Then looked nice for all the Christmas pics. They still want the pj's. My youngest son likes me to make boxers for him. I have fun with that because I use wild and crazy prints. The leftovers go in to my scrap stash. I have a friend who is a singer and I make some of her performance outfits. Love those fancy fabrics. I still make curtains and lots of other things.

I do. I sew clothing, basically, because I can get a much better fit that way. I am doing some sewing for one of my daughters, some dance costumes for my son's ballroom dance team, and then need to get started on some dresses and stuff for my little granddaughter.
My daughter is having another baby in May, and she wants me to make the blessing outfit.
I buy my patterns when they are on sale for .99 or $1.99, and buy my fabric when it is on sale. A lot of people can't believe I still sew some clothes, but I enjoy it. I would like to learn to make jeans.

I love reading all the different sewing projects that members on this board have been/ are involved with. I have been making my own clothes since I was 16. Now, I also do piece work for a local fabric/gift store. I sew ladies and girls slips using nylon tricot. About 10 each week. Love any kind of sewing, except repairing clothes :-(

I am semi-new to sewing (with a machine), and enjoy trying different projects.
I tend to enjoy collecting the fabrics more than I do using it hehe
I do enjoy using it though...
I have only made one quilt, entirely by hand, many years ago, and of course the hand sewing clothing repairs, hems etc
I have made one pair of curtains using a machine, that was years ago too.

I've been sewing off and on for over 45 years. I started out garment sewing but only thing I make in garments anymore is to whip out pj's, tanks, elastic waist shorts, etc on the serger. I also like to do some Home Dec, but only if it's quick and easy <grin>. Mainly I just like doing any sort of quilting. Partial to small quickie projects but have lots of larger quilts in various stages of completion. I also do some machine embroidery.
