Used to do that when I was younger. Now I do a lot of shopping online, esp. when free shipping is involved. I have it directly shipped to my dtrs and then we don't have to haul it over there. I think we're all realizing we have too much stuff. Less is more this year.

The charity for which I spend most of my time sewing buys the year's supply of flannel at JoAnn's doorbuster best price of the year, so yes I'll be out there at 6a.m.

Went with DD last year first time ever for me. We had a blast, got everything she was looking for before we went to the fabric store for me when it opened. Our LQS gave out different colored dots for discounts depending on what time you got there, DD didn't quilt back then so she gave me her % off dot, good thing too cause I lost mine right away!!!!
