It is not that serious. I would rather hang out with Bernina, Necchi and my HQ16. They dont push and shove!

I'm a Canuck too and I'd avoid Black Friday like the plague.
I don't even do groceries on weekends or evenings because I hate the crowds and empty shelves.
I like to get in and get out.
So, no Black Friday for me.
But then, a couple of years ago, I do vaguely remember standing in line at a ToysRus at 7:00 AM to get a Wii.
But that's another story.

Shopping has been hard for me ever since chemo left me with some nerve damage so I don't do marathons. Thanksgiving weekend will always mean family to me anyway. This year there will be up to 34 at my house. Luckily I don't have to do all the cooking. It's hard enough finding all the chairs.:)

dh and I used to go when we didn't live on an island only accessible by ferries. We have always lived paycheck to paycheck (ah, to be young) and this makes xmas affordable for us

Were we in the same car? :)

Even though I only went the one time with DD, we did not experience the pushing or shoving, we actually had a great shopping day together. AND got to the LQS when it opened, I did miss out on an item I wanted at walmart because I wanted fabric more than anything else!!! LOL

I did it once....once was enough to break me of it forever! I shop only online now. Actually I do very little shopping. I make most of the gifts that I give. It makes me furious that the stores decorate for Christmas before Halloween.....ruins the holidays for me.
