This sort of clears up some issues with copyright violation. But as usual there are still some "gray" areas!

I think the biggest issue these days are with the designers who are trying to tell the consumer that they can NOT make items to sell from their patterns...and that is really causing a lot of grief in the designer community.

I thought you all might like to read the information on this site.There is a lot of ifo and court cases to back them up.

all she has claim to is that YES the first use doctrine can be used ONCE by a person using Lic. fabrics. Copyright law takes effect as well, so there is still a fine line between right and wrong!
