Accuquilt Go Cutter
#22
I love my go,like anything else there is a slight learning curve but once you get the hang of it,you'll breeze through cutting strips, shapes etc. I love how the half square triangles turn out with no dog ears.

I have the Accuquilt GO and I love it!. Pieces are cut accurately and fit perfectly to the piece that needs to be added. Just don't try to cut too many thicknesses at one time. Better to go slower and get better results.

Interesting thread. I have never been interested in these cutters mostly because the pictures make it look like there is a ton of fabric wasted ie; Big piece of fabric, three little cutouts. Is that how they actually work?? I wish there was a dealer or LQS somewhere close by so I could try one out.

I have been thinking of the cutter for some time so what I did was watch a lot of the youtube videos for accuquilt cutters and they were very helpful with many ideas. So with those video I decided to get one.
This is where I got it:

Their dies are 33% lower. Hope this helps.

Just yesterday I was discussing these machines with a friend. We had both opted not to get one because it takes more fabric, you have to cut pieces before putting them in the machine and we do not sew that way. Now for appliques and such I think it would be ideal but when I make a nine patch I do not sew all little squares together. Both of us use rotary cutting techniques where we sew parts together and then cut. It reminds me a little of using templates. I do think one might be in my future some time if I can no longer rotary cut due to medical reasons. I would probably then go for the studio. You are taking the right steps thinking it through. It helped me a lot to watch videos online to realize for now it is not for me. Something I do use a lot is the June Tailor shape cutter.
