I am not too fond of 60's & 70's retro; probably because I wore that stuff at one time, not by choice, but because that is all there was. Remember the chemise?!?!? I don't like the daisies and peace signs. Pretty much everything else I like.

I would never pick a 30's fabric or pastels for my own quilt.

So glad I got that off my chest!

I don't like civil war fabrics but like pretty much everything else. Especially like 1930's and novelties. Right now for some reason I'm obsessed with goofy looking farm animal prints (especially cows and chickens)! I prefer bright colors, love the asian prints and can't wait to try the batiks.

I go with what the project is or who it's for. Today I bought some beautiful Asian fabric for my Japanese friend. I would never buy it for myself, but I'm excited to use someting outside my comfort zone. I think it's also funny how I used to love the 1930's fabric untill I made a quilt with it and now I'm kind of over it.

I don't like dots and fabric with comic characters in the print.

I try to keep an open mind. I've seen people do things with fabric I would never think to buy, just knock my socks off.

I am partial to brighter colors but later have found myself drawn to reproduction fabrics, i.e., Civil War fabrics. The only fabrics I absolutely cannot ever picture using are the Amy Butler type. Something about the patterns and color combinations just doesn't sit well with me. Otherwise, I try to look at what will suit the use/pattern most.

I don't like the print that is a medley of all the other prints in that line.
