At Joanns, you can't use a coupon off on a coupon item - but, read the 20% or 25% off total purchase coupons carefully. Often they will say on all regular or sale price items. So, if item is 60% off on sale, you may also use your total purchase coupon. But especially this time of year, read the email coupons carefully. If an item says online sales only - it is online only. Normally a sale price is good in store or online - but this time of year that does not apply. This is the same with most retailers because of the holiday sales. Bottom line is to read the coupons carefully and save yourself a hassle.

The batting that I'd been watching on Joann's has dropped to $39.99. So far I can't use a coupon on that price and there is a $4 shipping charge too. I'll see if there are any special deals tomorrow, Cyber Monday.

I'm still considering the Walmart batting that Jeanne recommended.

As an aside - last year before I bought the batting at JAF I compared prices at Walmart. At the time they offered a roll 96" x 9 yards for $20.33. Now the least expensive roll is $27.66 and it's only 90" wide. Has batting gone up a lot in general or am I just finding oddities?

Walmarts prices fluctuate. For the things I use a lot of(batting, stabilizers, ect.) I watch for price roll backs and stock up then.

It's Cyber Monday. Have any of you bumped into any good sales? I haven't yet but will post if I do.

Thanks for the heads up about Walmart, I too ordered Pellon's Quilter Touch and have been using it in charity quilts and aprons. I just ordered two bolts and an interfacing.

I just checked Walmart, and it is now $26.64 (free pickup). I get three quilts out of this, so it doesn't sound too bad to me.

The Pellon 80/20 is around $32 for 96 inches by 9 yards.

Thanks for the info on the notions being on sale at JAF soon. I find I am more comfortable cutting with the 28mm rotary blade. I finally bought a Hobbs roll of batting King size width and 30 yards at $186.99 on eBay. I did a comparison shopping with my resale license but the eBay was only $10 more than the wholesale price plus shipping. It should be arriving this week. YAHOO, Christmas will be arriving early at my tiny apt!
