Not a good idea in the heat because it has a bubble. My daughter has been laying it in the hot sun in the drive way and that is helping some with the repair. Have a wonderful day.
When you lay the mat in the sun, put some weights, such as iron, etc on some of the corners too. I have a 24x36 mat and it was very warped. I laid it on the asphalt in the sun with some weights for an afternoon and it is fine again. Mine was so warped that I could not use it anyways, so I had nothing to lose. (I gained a useable mat)

I bought some 3M hooks and have the mats hanging on the door in my craft closet along with the cutting rulers. They stay in great shape and the wasted space on the back of the door is no longer wasted.

I was going to drill holes and hang it too, but it seems to do just fine back there.

I like this idea and I am going to use it for my larger mats.
