Thanks for any and all ideas...
I just used flannel doubled, sewed it like a sack and turned it inside out then used varigated thread to sew a top stitch border using a half way fancy stitch.

They are so adorable!!! I noticed you did not do any quilting on them, which I don't want to do either. Do you worry at all that with the warm & natural in the middle that it might bunch up, I have a lot of scrap warm and natural & it would be great to use.

So far so good..They have washed them many times and keep coming out of the dryer very well. I guess if you wanted you could just quilt an X through it.

I have made lots with the prefolded diapers. I sew ribbon or fabric on them add lace or rickrack and sometimes embroidery a name or baby design.

I make them with flannel on one side and cotton on the other, no batting or anything in between.

I just make them with flannel on both sides and make a large flannel blanket and matching baby bib. Everybody likes them.

I just made some to send to my DS and DIL and I just used 2 layers of cute flannel and then served around the outside. Works well. I forgot to take a picture and I already have them air sealed for mailing. If I have to package them differently, I'll take a picture of them and post it.

I got a great deal on hand towels when our Walmart or target had a huge clearance sale. So the ones I made had terrycloth from the towels. Can't beat a quarter each! :D
