I do zig-zag them together and use them for small projects, like baby bibs, small purses, pot holders, placemats, or table runners. What ever they fit. Even if you just need to ad to another piece of batting just to make it that much larger. There are always something small to use them for...

I also like to use small batting scraps for practicing machine quilting and setting my tension etc. before I start on the quilt itself. Just be sure you use the same batting for both so you know what to expect on your quilt.

Anyone make those bags out of covered clothesline? You cover the clothesline with fabric strips, then zigzag them together to make sections for purses and totes, etc. You can substitute batting strips for the clothes line.
