They are perfect for Puff Quilts or a strip quilt. I also pull them apart and stuff pillows and things with the scraps. I am happy to hear how many of you use your scraps of fabric and batting, never thought of making bedding for the animal shelter, what a great idea.

I keep them for stuffig pillows and pot holders and small projects. The larger pieces get stitched together to make baby quilts. There are so many ways to use them. Pin cushions is another one.

Wow there are a lot of good hints of what to use scraps for. I use them to keep my laminate floor clean by putting them on a broom the swiffer is a good idea too.I also use for small projects etc.

I haven't tried the new product that heat presses batting together, but have been heat pressing it together with strips of very light weight fusible interfacing for years. Don't apply too much heat on poly batting or it could melt. Just enough heat to hold the pieces together works. Once it's inside a project and quilted, it won't come apart. I never throw batting scraps away.

Scraps can be butted end to end and whip stitched together. These pieces can be used to practice machine quilting. I also use them to stuff pin cushions.

Yes! Some where online is a project with scrap strips of fabrics sewn onto scrap strips of batting. This is made into blocks and these are sewn together again.

I store my quilted wall hangings by rolling several of them together around a cardboard tube that I have covered with flannel or by winding strips of batting around them to cover the tube. Instead of pinning or tying with a strip of ribbon or fabric I wrap a long strip of batting around the outside. No pins to worry about and no crease where the strip was tied. I also keep a bunch of small pieces to layer up with fabric to test my stitch and thread color when I am getting ready to machine quilt.

I keep mine and am sometimes surprised at how much I use them.
