There is also a lint roller that has sticky tape on it, you use it then pull one part of and a clean one is left. I have had one for a long time and there is still plenty of tape on it. You just roll it over the surface and everything sticks to it then you pleal a layer off and it's clean and ready to use again.

While you are rinsing the threads and lint off the roller, aren't the threads and lint going down the drain? Don't you ever get a plugged up drain?
I got a tip from somewhere to use a clean, never used toilet brush to brush up the threads. I brush everything into a pile and pick it all up with my hands and throw it away. A lot of the threads also stick to the brush so I clean that off at the end as well and throw the threads into the wastebasket. All Done! No clogged drains! No refills for a lint roller to buy! I should say that I have carpeting on the floor where I sew :XD: :thumbdown: :XD: :thumbdown: but I have to leave it there because I live in an apartment with wall to wall carpeting.
