Block Rockit quilt machine started skipping stitches
I just wanted to tell you ladies about a problem I was having. My Block Rockit quilt machine
started skipping stitches. I called Grace co. They said change the needle, I changed my needle 6 times before my machine stopped skipping stitches, guess, I got a bad batch of needles. I was going to order a new encoder, but since my machine is only 2 yrs old, he said wait and change your needle.

Another thought...What type of thread are you using? When I was having skipping issues using Glide polyester thread another LA’er suggested spraying the cone liberally with silicone as static was making it drag through thread path to needle. She also suggested not having the quilt sandwich overly tight on rollers. Solved our problem.

Glad you solved the issue, not sure I would have kept trying to change the needle after so many tries. Good on you and Grace for perservering. Also, if your machine is actually skipping stitches it will leave a needle hole in the fabric without picking up the bobbin thread. That is never an encoder issue. Encoder problems would give you intermittant long stitches where there is no needle hole.
