You are happy now but just wait till you hold that little one. You will be FLYING! How about a quilt in the pattern Hugs and Kisses....it is an easy one and very appropriate.

Grandchildren are the best gift in the world. As my husband says you forgive your kids for anything they ever did wrong when that grandchild is born.

The grandmother news is so exciting. I understand why you can't keep a secret. I can't help you with the baby quilt. I am a newbie. Congrats again.

Congratulations!! I think a simple pattern is a four patch with a plain block in between.

Congradulations new grandma. The first grandchild is special. My first one was born on my birthday, 18 1/2 yrs ago. I just finished making a fence rail patch. Used generic pastels and printed baby fabric. The girl I gave it to was thrilled. Any pattern will work, so have fun.

It's hard to keep a secret about a baby coming, I know. ha ha As for a quilt I made one for my grandchild and it had pink squares and white squares and in the white ones I appliqued pink hearts, then put a pink border around it. You can use designed material, like little flowers, I did for the hearts. It turned out really pretty.

Congratulations on your most Secret News.... There are so many darling baby quilts why not check out a few books and ask what appeals to your kids, they may see something they really like...
And then for a Special one, when she decides shat the theme will be definitely do the embroidery one... But please wait until she is further along, there is plenty of time to make plenty of quilts...
Prayers for all of you..
