she might enjoy receiving blankets too. In addition to quilts I made dozens of these--- flannel on one side and a pretty baby print on the other side. I do 45 by 45 and this size will stay with them to toddler stage. Plus when baby is tiny one can wrap them up snug before wrapping in the quilt. I keep them made ahead and any new babies coming into this world near me get one. Your new grandbaby will add days to your life with the joy he or she brings!!

Congrats on the GOOD news!! There's nothing like being a grandma for the first time or second time or third time or......seventh time (like me!!!). Any kind of quilt will be fine!

Congrats to you and yours. Grand babies are so much fun. I would start with a nice nine patch in wonderful baby colors. Then make a more detailed one later for the nursery.

Congratulations! It's funny I read this because my sister just told me today and made me promise not to tell anyone that she is pregnant! She's not married and hasn't told her EX yet! So, it's not the ideal situation that is for sure.

II hope that you get to get a quilt going for your new grandbaby soon. I am sure it will be beautiful. Is this your 1st grandbaby????

Congrats on the wonderful news!! And have fun with the baby quilt :) I just recently made one too and I used that super soft snuggly fabric for the backing! Was soooo soft!
