Christmas! BERNINA 440 QE!

Congrats on your new Bernina. I love mine. I have the BSR and have used it several times. It does ok, but I prefer just to drop the feed dogs and use the embroidery foot. Try them both, you may love the BSR. Have fun with your new machine.

What a wonderful gift. Love my Bernina machines. Check out the Bernina website at berninausa.com. There is a lot of information there. There is also a Yahoo group for several of the Bernina machines.

Relax!! You will absolutely LOVE it!! I have had mine for several years and the BSR really helped me get going with FMQ. You will find that after you use it for a while you will sometimes be quilting without it.........it's a great learning tool. Like Fidgety says, don't worry about tension....I have never had tension problems. Do take some classes from your dealer if you can. That helps SO much. Have fun!!!

I agree 100% with Tartan! I have a 440QE w/BSR and I love it too!!!
Congratulations! You have a wonderful machine. I love my 440 QE and the BSR. Take advantage of any classes available from a dealer near you. There are simple Webinars at the Bernina site on the computer web too. There is a nice big instruction book that comes with the machine to get you started with the BSR.

Congrats, you will LOVE this machine. I love mine. Don't be afraid, but try to take the classes, that is the best way to work with your machine. They'll teach you how to use your machine to the max.
Take care and Happy New Year.

I love my Bernina 440QE. I have had it for 3 years now and never plan to part with it. I have never had a bit of problem with it and I use it alot. I also used the BSR to do several quilts the first couple years I had it (until I got my long arm machine). I liked the BSR. I took a class on using the BSR. Classes should be available to you from the Dealer where your mom bought it. Bernina provides classes for the machines they sell. I highly advise thatyou take the classes. I did and they definintely helped me get into the comfort zone with my 440 when I got it. Good luck. I'm sure you will enjoy it. And--by the way--your mom was very generous in getting you that for Xmas! Make sure to thank her many times.
