Do not fear the Bargello. It is easier than you might think!

I just read a thread about choosing your colors. Go to a paint store and take some of their paint chip samples. Use these chips to shop for fabric. I thought that was brilliant!

You would be wrong in thinking that I know something!!!

I am posting this only because I said I would and it really isn't fair to not let others learn from my mistakes. [Please note, that this isn't as hard as I am making it.] After I got them sewn together you would think I would have noticed that the purply-red strip looked out of place, nope! It was only once I cut them aprat and lined them up it I see the error. Lucky for me I didn't also forget my seam ripper

I am going to mark up my plan to fix this but they may kick me out before them. I can read and post with the iphone, I just can't post pictures that way.

Before I cut it

With the purple pinned back so you can't see it

Oddly enough, I am not too upset by what I did.

What is the "correct" sequence for 5-10?

Where does the purple strip go? In a different quilt?

I am right in thinking I need solids in the light-medium area (as was suggested before, but no quilt stores are open on Sunday in this state!!!) I can go tomorrow but I wonder how I will do that by myself :)

With numbers

My view, which is what it keeping me in such good spirits!

I like this arrangement of the colors much better than your first one. Feels like a better balance of tones and smoother transitions.

Cheers, K
