Do you make your own lingerie?

I would check out the pattern books in the fabric store. I know that McCalls has a pattern for lingerie. I have not made my own and the fact that I am a big woman it would be hard to make a bra that would give me the right support. Jeanniebelle

no i dont make my own, but when i was little my mom would make then out of flour sack cloth. when we went to the store and she need 50 lbs of flour and i would get to pick the flour sack i like that the flour come in. than had to wait for her to use the flour before she could make my unders. that sure seam like a long wait for me as a kid. but i bet with 6 kids it didnt take long to use the flour.

I used cotton knit jersey, tricot, lycra. Onetime for fun I used leftover scraps from making my boys tee shirts on the serger. The front was one color, the back was another and the crouch still another. You have to have a sense of humor and I thought they were quite funny but I actually wore them.

I used to make my own panties and half-slips. I had taken a class from the Viking sewing machine dealer back in the 1970s. Bras looked to difficult to me so I never tried them. I used the Kwik-Sew patterns. Making panties isn't as hard as it looks.
