Since I retired June 2nd, I work on quilts about 5 - 6 days a week. My goal for the rest of my life is to make as many quilts as I can. No chance of me ever sewing up all my fabrics, I make a quilt and go buy several yards, for sure a lot more than it takes for a quilt.

I sew everyday! I do chores in the morning - there aren't very many since it is just me and my DH at home now - then I have the rest of the day to sew. I have been doing a lot of hand work - English Paper Piecing - so I need a lot of breaks to rest my hands. I think I spend 6-8 hours a day doing something quilt related. WOW - that is a lot of time - like having a full-time job - except a lot more fun.

Because I am on summer break from school and unemployed, I sew when I want and can. Sometimes, like today, it was about 6 hours. Tom. I am home alone so will be most of the day.

I sew, piece or quilt every day of the week, usually 4 or 5 hours a day. If something happens and I cannot sew, I have serious withdrawals and worry about getting behind. No, this is not a job, it is a compulsion. I do volunteer or charity work and dearly love it. I eat, sleep and dream quilts. When I go shopping for food, I picture quilts out of food containers. Should I see a doctor now? The dogs are hanging onto their fur for dear life. Should I see a doctor now? LOL

I'm retired, disabled (maybe I should say I'm inconvenienced) with heart problems, widowed, which explains why and how I can quilt/sew/spend my time in my sewing room everyday.

I'm retired, so I do sew each day. I'd have to clean house and other chores if I didn't have quilting to do!

I try to sew every day. If I don't, I get cranky about what's keeping me away from it. You know, like housework, errands etc.
