There is a pattern called Cake Mix (Layer Cake Recipe) that uses pieces cut
as large as 10". I made the quilt in the featured fabric line and my Sister loved it so much (so did I) that I gave it to her. Now I've got to make one for me. It could be easily made larger than the suggested size.

How busy do you want the pattern to be? You may find you want either a really busy quilt or not.

Personally, for a fast quilt I like the Maple Island BQ blocks. They are large but interesting. I also like the jelly roll race type of quilts, but that will take some calculating to get the size you want most likely.

Have a look at Jenny Doan's youtube videos from the Missouri Star Quilt co. and see if any there strike your fancy.

I found the Yellow Brick Road, Disappearing 9 Patch, and Double Slice Layer Cake patterns to be easy and quick.

I did a king quilt using flannel in hst blocks in various arrangements. Very easy and fun. You could use any size of blocks. I did a crib quilt in a star design with hst made from 12.5" blocks...fun and quick.

ditto, they worked for me.

Yep! Turning Twenty is so easy and it looks a lot more complicated than it is. I've made it several times and have always been happy with the results!
