Quote '"Hello, I am new to this site and was thrilled to see other people love embroidering also. I have a Brother Innovis 1500D. I love the machine even though I don't know what I am doing most of the time...dining room table and am nervous about leaving it there since my 4 month old son is learning to crawl (he can crawl about 6 inches and then falls down) and I am so afraid I am going to drop a needle or pin and not notice and he will find it." End of Quote

If you buy a rolling magnetic pickup from the hardware store and roll it over your floor after each sewing session, you will have much more peace of mind. It will pick up the pins and needles.

Thank you so much for all the help everyone. I will definitely check out the hardware store so I can get back to sewing.

I have a Viking Designer SE. I need to take some pics of my granddaughter's quilt. I don't really do much embroidery and haven't been sewing like I should. I really want to get back into the swing of things

Hi, glad I found this thread. I had a Bernina 180E for 10 years and wanted to upgrade so I sold it to a friend. I still miss it though. I bought an Ellisimo and am really enjoying it. My dealer has tons of classes - the only down side it taking the machine there.

I'm mostly embroidery things for my baby grand daughters. So much fun! We will all have to post our projects. So far I've given them all away and forgot to take photos. Whoops!

I have a deco 340 bernette. I have only had it about 3 months and am just starting to learn things to do with it.
I did towels and t-shirts for the grands for Christmas. Just very simple designs that I got with my machine and off the internet. I hope to learn to do designs on quilts thats the main reason I got it.

I have a Brother PE780 D and haven't had time to figure it out. I still don't understand how to download free patterns , or should I say don't know how to put them on a flash drive in order to use the designs.

I have been machine embroidering on my Janome 300E for the past six years. I have embroidered on many things, including toilet paper. People love receiving embroidered baby gifts and quilts, especially with the new baby's name on it. I have digitized many college logos for my daughters and as gifts for their friends. Machine embroidering is a lot of fun and your imagination is your only limit. I really like my winter door hanging, but haven't had to use it this year because of our very mild temperatures. I will never buy a Janome again because I have had a lot of bobbin problems and after reading several blogs, it seems to be a common problem. My machine will embroidery up to a 5x7 size. My next machine will have a much larger hoop, because it would really come in handy.
