I do the same--buy batting when it is on sale, 50% off or I buy it with a coupon if desparate!

Kona muslin isn't usually on sale for 40 or 50% off, so using the coupons for that when it is regular price will be better than buying it on sale for 25-30% off. Batting is on sale 50% off frequently, so unless I need it right away, I wait for the sale and stock up.

I used one to buy my cutting mat. Saved quite a bit that way.

Books and magazines are often on sale.....at 10% off so you can't apply a 40% off coupon. Lately they have been putting a $5.00 off a regular priced item valued over $5.00. There are the exclusions on this coupon as well. I no longer buy anything without a coupon or sale there. I remember when the coupons went from 60% to 50% off then down to 40%. Not even going to say it.....

I am very disappointed to hear this. When the stock is gone new stock will be from a different supplier.
bummer. Our Joann's doesn't carry many colors of it but about 3 times a year I'm at a big Joann's that has a lot. I wish I could go there but the weather isn't great right now. If I could I would stock up. I may at the store here but all they have that I use is the dk brown, black and white. Maybe the green.

I bought my extra large cutting mat at 40% off which saved quite a bit.

At our store you cannot, no matter what, use coupons on sale items. You used to be able to and they would take the % off the regular price but not anymore. It hasn't been that way for a few years now.

When practically everything is on sale I sometimes use my coupons on little things like zippers or needles. I have preschooler so I buy some kids craft stuff, too.

It's a good deal on rotary cutter blades. Plus even if you buy something and you can't use it as you go through the cashier have her scan your booklet (name/address) to keep you on their mailing list. I understand if there's no useage after a while they take you off the mailing list.

Use it for items not on sale, such as rotary cutters, replacement blades, rulers, batting & etc.

What you will find is that their highest priced materials are not on sale when they give out those coupons. Batting is another thing that I've bought with the coupons. Velvet is almost never on sale either.
