I wouldn't mind fabric multiplying for me, but I bet it wouldn't stop me from buying when there is a good deal! As much as I say I will use that stash, I find for every piece I use, I buy 3-4 more. Oh well, just hope that when I die, one of my kids will want to take over the obsession!!

Luv, I feel you, girl. My closet is stuffed to the brim with my quilting items too. I literally dragged a 5 drawer chest of drawers down the sidewalk from up the block to my house to put more stuff in....well, they were just throwing it out, how could I let those 5 drawers of space go to the dump? Now all 5 drawers are packed. My significant other, the poor man, did not see the chest of drawers for 5 days then he asked me where it came from. I innocently told him from down the street.......
Now that the semester has ended, finally, I will tote my sewing machine to the dining room table and start sewing in earnest! This will drive the man crazy; he believes the table should be clear, what? WHY? I need that space to sew. My desk in my "sewing/study" room has my computer on it. Where am I supposed to puti it? Moving the small sewing machine is much easier.
Darn, I wish I could find tubs of fabric tucked in another closet! Lucky girl!!
Luv, we are family! We must be.

Oh my, my...my fabric does naughty things in the dark and keeps increasing. The sewing room(converted bedroom), the quilting room has my LA(converted dining room), three big closets, are all stuffed full of sewing goodies. Phew!!! When did it become an obsession? Oh well hubby doesn't care (he's an enabler), and I make many, many give away quilts for everything. My name is Brenda and I'm a fabric-holic.

I totally understand, I too spring cleaned and I have given a couple of boxes of corduroy (which I make school bags for overseas) and anything other than cotton away. I have my solids in a tub and I have sorted my panels, and my lights and my darks separate. I feel like I know where my stuff is, so I can actually work.

*Deep breath* "My name is Rebecca & I am a hopeless, helpless fabric-a-holic. And I have absolutely no intention of doing anything about it except acquiring more fabrics, more tools, more books, more patterns, more anything that isn't nailed down that's quilt-related".
If I had a dime for every New Year's Day that rolls around that starts with me saying "This year the only fabric I'm going to buy is what I need to finish a UFO". And that lasts until I get out of bed... LOL!
I have fabric in my sewing room. In fact, I have so much fabric in my sewing room that it's no longer usable as a sewing room & has turned into a fabric room (with a tiny path thru the center -- you'll see it on "Hoarders" very soon, I'm pretty sure). In my full basement, I have fabric (in paper boxes, totes, paper bags, loose, you name it) stacked floor to ceiling on one whole half of it (plus the totes that have sorta spilled into the laundry & DH's areas -- oops). In my 3-car garage, I have fabric stored along a long wall & a short wall (floor to ceiling again). In our back-yard storage shed, I think there's fabric, too (there's also critters under it & I'm a'scared of them so I won't go in there). There are quilting books & patterns & magazines all over the house. Wanna eat at the dining room table? Too bad... I've got 2 cutting mats on it & have been cutting to my heart's content there. I'm trying to figure out how I can store fabric in my yard (hey, I have 1.5 acres... that'd hold lots of goodies!). This weekend I plan to set the extra ironing board up in the kitchen, drag my Featherweight out to the kitchen table & sew out there... unless I find a good fabric sale to go to.
Yes, I'm addicted. And I'd be more than happy to lead any of the rest of y'all down this garden path with me!

Hi, my name is Gayle and I am a fabriholic too......
Most of my stash is in my sewing room or the garage right next to it but my rubbermaid tubs full of fabric seem to be multiplying. I don't know how this is happening......
