I vote for Navy or Hunter,in a tonal or solid, for sashing. That way you are not adding another color and the darker value will tone down the look of the overall quilt and your blocks will pop. I don't think they are ugly at all!
Take a few blocks with you to the fabric store and lay them out on some different fabrics that you like and you will see what the sashing would look like. Have fun, I think you did great so far.

I LIKE your quilt! Some of my blocks are different. Your middle one in next to bottom row is the only one with a large expanse of the yellow. So, I took all the blocks out of their pizza box storage and find only two are unbearable. I may be able to redo those two. Thanks.

I would love to audition the dots Favorite Fabrics posted with the blocks. I think it would be great! I know I am the odd man out, but I just love the blocks from this BOM.

I got those, and have only done 1 or 2 of the blocks! Still have plenty more to do! I'll be interested in hearing what you decide. I was thing of either a white or black background with yellow, blue & green flowers in small dimensions.

I got a ton of these also for ten cents each several years ago--I gave a bunch to my Linus group and kept a bunch also, so if you want any more PM me and I'll be glad to send all of what I have to you. I don't have the green, just the "hideous" yellow, the light blue and the dark blue. I prewashed these and all the fabrics turned out very sort of limp and lightweight. If you want these I'll even pay the postage.

Maybe find a floral with these colors but with a white background, which may help calm the colors some.
Yes. A nice blue/yellow/white floral in sashings and border. A plain blue border then the floral would be nice.

Yellow can be such an overwhelming color to use. I like what janeknapp did with her quilt, also like the suggestions other made about machine quilting to tone down the yellow or the use of applique, flowers or balloons...I think if you work with this a little you will wind up with a very nice quilt! I think it will surprise you!! Have fun. Post pics when you're done!
