Help with a strippy quilt
#31
Oh….you’re gonna hate me! I think the interior vertical white columns are too wide. So…how about:
Taking the exterior white border off
Cut down the middle of each white interior column
Add a column of that dark blue between each set. Make that column 1/3 wider than the white column.
Add the same blue as a border, probably the same width as the interior column
Put the white border back on…you might have to adjust the width to have it balance with the interior white and blue columns
Bind in a red/white/blue fabric, heavy on the dark red
Applique large-ish stars randomly over the quilt. Not too many.
Quilt the white areas in something geometric, on the diagonal from the colored rectangles, perhaps extending into the colored areas. You’ll have to see what you think.
I liked one of the ideas above about cutting it up and re-assembling.
And I also like it as is! Add a bunch of geometric quilting into the white areas and you’re done! If you’re still not happy, then use the large appliqued stars placed randomly idea.
Have fun!

How about curved lines down the length of white areas and straight ones following the pattern in the other areas. It would look nice and modern. You could do horizontal lines across the top and bottom and vertical lines on the sides of the borders. Would look coordinated on the back.
