I have only sewn my finger once, but when I hand sew, somehow I manage to sew my finger into the back of the project. I haven't figured that one out yet. When I worked (as a RN) I was often stabbing myself with needles and IV needles. My shots were always up to date, and I know I don't have any diseases (frequent blood tests). Now that I'm retired, I have to keep the shots up to date. A couple of days ago I dropped my scissors. They always land on my foot pointed side down. So far no stab wound, but it happens often and usually when I'm barefoot. Also, my DH always finds any dropped pins by stepping on them. He thinks I drop them on purpose.

And who says what we do isn't dangerous! Oh, if people only knew the hazards we endure for the thing we love!!! Hope your finger is okay. It makes me hurt just thinking about it!

So sorry about your OUCH. I'm such a klutz at so many things but thank goodness (knock on wood) so far I have been able to keep my fingers from being impaled. I have gotten them stuck on pins in fabrics (causing the air to turn blue) and that hurt so can just imagine how much pain would be inflickted with a needle!! Hope you heal quickly.

Oh, you guys are making me get that squeamish feeling all over!! I've done the sewing machine needle, thousands of pins and many, many rotary cutter slices... First aid kid in the cutting table drawer for sure - but I hadn't thought about the pliers before. Great tip!!
