As i write this my DH is snuggled in the recliner under the flannel quilt I made him, reading his nook. It's 11 degrees right now and is supposed to get down to 4 degrees tonight. We also keep our thermostat down to save on the gas bill so maybe that's another reason why he uses it a lot.

My husband falls asleep on the sofa every night while I watch tv or chat on the computer. As soon as he dozes off, I toss his quilt over him and Cotton (our Maltese) climbs on top. Then I curl up on the other sofa. Everyone's happy!

Maybe he doesn't want to use the two because neither one could be replaced...your first quilt and one made from his Trek shirts. Perhaps if you made him one that is not as "special," he would be more willing to use it.

My soon to be SIL didn't use the bowling quilt I made for him. I asked what he loved in a blanket for his bed and found out he loves fleece. I made him a quilt and backed it with fleece and he uses it all the time.

We sleep under a fluffy, very light comforter. DN says quilts are way too heavy.I also keep several sofa throws around, all flannel backed. He'll grab one of those if he wants. These are made to be used, tossed in W/D often.

If he doesn't use them, and that bothers you, why continue to make more for him? I would get a nice quilt stand and put the one's you've made him over it and put it in the bedroom. At least he would SEE them then.

Make the bed and put the quilt on under a bedspread or something. It will stay clean and be used also.
