Favourite blocks? For me it depends on the day! I love to applique, love Dresdan plate, & love pinwheels!

I've been quilting a little over a year. I had always liked arts and crafts, so I decided to teach myself sewing. Then my son was born, and I starting quilting. It is a great outlet, and I credit it for helping me get over post-partum depression. My husband and son love my quilts, and my son is learning his colors (he's 18 months) from playing with fabric scraps and unopened thread spools :)

Made my first doll quilt out of scraps my Mom gave me nearly 60 years ago. Made my first baby quilt - whole cloth with prairie points - for a niece in the mid 1960s. Didn't do much quilting till my daughter started planning her family about 15 years ago. Hand quilted a lot of panels, then started piecing. I favor traditional quilts but love them all. I just love to sew.

Been quilting for about 10 + years and got insanely in love with log cabin. I made a million blocks, put 'em together and gave 'em to every one I knew that I also liked.
I also like hand pieced GFG for portability and using up small scraps.
I'm branching out now and trying different blocks and techniques. I love it all.

It doesn't seem possible that I made my first crazy quilt
block fifty years ago. It took several years before accumulating enough blocks to complete a quilt. My Mother's quilting friends then helped me to quilt it.
It is the pattern I use for lap robes for the Pediatric patients at a local hospital. It makes up fast and can be very colorful
So crazy quilt is my favorite, tho I have made many different patterns since.

I have been crazy quilting for 12 years now...mostly self taught, but a couple years ago I took a class at Judith Baker Montano's home studio. Learned a lot and the passion grows!http://www.flickr.com/photos/52086995@N00/
