I take MSQ Block magazine. On their web site, they have corrections to the patterns in each book. I wondered why they could not figure out there was a problem or error before printing. At least they owned up to the error and made it right for you.

It surprises me at the number of errors in patterns for not only quilting but knitting & crochet as well. They are supposed to have several testers to test the patterns before they are published. You would think at least one of them would find the error & bring it to the authors attention.

MSQC mistake
Jenny's daughter-in-law made a correction video soon after the tutorial explaining that the mistake was made. Jenny was traveling so she ask her to make the correction. I know that doesn't help if you have already cut though.

I am just today cutting out pieces for the tablerunner pattern "Crazy Christmas Trees", and discovered an error in reading the pattern over beforehand. I went to the Cut Loose Press website for pattern corrections, and it is corrected there, along with another error I hadn't realized was there. Just fyi in case any of you are making this tablerunner.

I've not been doing this long but sometimes it seems like the steps in the pattern go from A to D without including B and C. I wonder if it's just because whoever wrote the pattern was so familiar with it they thought it would be assumed. If I'm not sure of a pattern I'll sit in front of my DVD player watching old TV shows and cut the pattern from graph paper and then put it together with glue to see how it comes together. Saves me having to dig into my stash and have to decide what to sacrifice.
