I don't count having bought the fabric and the pattern as a WIP that is a PIW project in waiting :)

    WIPs let see here
    1) card trick quilt
    2) scrappy double pinwheel blocks - just messed around one day and they turned out now I need 200 to finish the quilt
    3) K-State rag time
    4) Watermelon log cabin
    5) Yellow Brick Road - just have to put it together
    6) Kansas Troubles Binding

And this is just off the top of my head :P

Do I have to count the ones I have sorted with fabric together, but not cut yet? Just the ones I have cut and in varying stages of doneness, including tops finished and needing to be quilted I have 8. If I have to count the collected fabric, sorted and in the q, I have, well, more. :D

    ok fess up time..

I have 1 I finished minutes ago.. it needs a back and then off to the quilter..

    then 2 in progress.

another that just needs a binding.... 2 more coming back from the quilters that will need binding..

about 6 in bins waiting for me to get started..

not so bad .. if my family could leave for a week I could reduce alll my numbers!

Wow Feathers!! I did the same thing last week-mucked out my quilt room and pulled those WIPS out. I only have 4 large quilts to be finished, but like you have several blocks of things I have started and never got together. But I always have lots of stuff ready to go since I sell all my items. So I have about 5 table runners to back and quilt, plus the ones I'm putting together for a customer.
Lots of coaster sets and potholders that I cut out from my leftovers before the fabric goes in the scrap heap, and about 60 or so tater bags to finish putting together. Whew! I have farmers market starting the 31st so have lots to do!!!!!

I'd be embarrassed to say--I can tell you that hanging over my drying rack I have 2 quilts that are in rows, waiting to be put together for a top, 3 "test" blocks, and 16 yards of fabric hanging, just waiting to be cut.

I won't admit how much is on my sewing table, ironing board, design table, and...in my purse. I always keep some handpiecing in there for ....carpool line. Amazing what I get done waiting on my kids.

Wow!! I don't feel like the lone ranger after all!!! I have 4, one quillow that needs to be tied, 1 baby quilt that the top needs to be finished and then quilted, 1 for my granddaughter that I embroidered the blocks for now I just have to quilt and finish the edges and then a log cabin type. Out of all these only one is from 5(+) years ago. I am really excited after all these 4 I can start fresh. And it is such a good feeling to get them done and to the person I have been thinking about during the whole time I have been working on the quilt.

When I first started quilting I made a rule for myself that I couldn't start a new project until I'd finished the last one. That lasted for about 3 quilts! Here's my current list:

King-sized Irish Chain that I've been quilting FOREVER. Only about half done.

Sampler quilt that needs sashing strips and then to be put together and quilted

Kansas Troubles quilt I started hand quilting, but then had to switch to machine quilting because I couldn't get a needle through it to stitch in the ditch

Wall hanging for a friend's birthday that needs to be quilted

    Log cabin I'm still piecing

And I won't even talk about all the quilts still in my head! So I guess that's five. And I really am trying to work on them, but my @*!$% job keeps getting in the way!

When I saw the subject line, I counted up 8 in my head, then when I started reading others comments I was like, "oh yeah, I have a pieced on I'm working on, and oh yeah, I've started one of those....." so maybe 11 or 12 (without looking!) I have to agree with mgshaw......Feathers.....you are the WIP Queen.......WIP it, WIP it Good!!!!!!! lol!

I'm just a newbie, so my numbers are relatively low. I say relatively, since it'll take me 10 times the normal amount of time since I'm a newbie :D

1 Broken Lone Star, Queen to King size, pieced and waiting on finding some elusive Timeless Treasures fabric to do a ribbon border. This is my big kahona, my very first quilt.
2 9 Patch & Stripe baby quilt tops done - I won't finish those for a while, don't want to kick in grandbaby Karma just yet
1 9 Patch & Stripe throw on the design wall, waiting for setting triangle fabric that should be in today or tomorrow
1 9 Patch & Stripe runner to match the throw, pieced but not quilted
1 morphed coffee table runner pieced but not quilted
(are we detecting a pattern here? LOL)
1 Card Trick runner pieced but (can you guess???) not quilted yet
1 Quarter Log Cabin throw (yes, pieced but not quilted yet)
1 Bits & Pieces throw in the piecing stage

Thank goodness Joann's has Warm & Natural 50% off this weekend - I *might* need to stock up on batting
