How many of you keep track of your quilts?
#121
I'm not a scrapbooker, but I started a scrapbook for my quilts. I didn't start it until after I had several made, but I still had bits of most all the fabrics in my stash, so I've been able to document the details pretty well. I've now decided I need to go back trough the scrapbook and fill in the details on the battings (if I can remember them!)
I now have the scrapbook full enough that I'm contemplating a second....but I haven't found a cover I like yet, at least not when I have the cash.

What great ideas! Thanks, ladies, for putting a burr under my saddle to get me going on doing this documentation.
I realized late last year that I was starting to produce a number of quilts and also realized I was forgetting how many I was making. I sat down and wrote down the pertinent descriptions of the quilts (mostly just color, name, and when completed).
Most of the comments here make me realize that I need to do a better job at this, in case some emergency wipes out what I have. I'm into being prepared in case of emergencies, and this one never popped onto my list.
After all, we track our computers, cell phones, TVs and other electronics, and most of the tools used for quilting add up to WAY more that these items, when put all together. I like the idea of numbering each one, and keeping photos, cost, patterns online and in backups.
Sounds like another item needs to go to the top of my "To DO" list - in the more urgent category. Time to bookmark!
